Read this small newspaper clipping and then write a blog post about it. What are your thoughts? How does it make you feel? Do you agree? Disagree? Explain yourself.

I somewhat agree, this article sounds a bit harsh. I think that for the most part this article makes sense. I think it is true that your town and parents don't owe you fun but if they are talking about recreational/fun activities then I don't understand why it mentioned mowing the lawn, washing your windows, and studying. I wouldn't consider any of those fun. I see what he is trying to say but I think it could have been said better.

Tell me if you agree with this statement and then explain why or why not. "Images on the internet are 'free game' - if someone posted it, I should be able to use it."

I believe that as long as you give proper credit than you should be able to use images off the internet depending on the planned use for them you have. If its, for example, a school project than you should be able to use any image off the internet. If its for a commercial use like making a game or website than you should not be able to use any image you want off the internet. You can however, use royalty free images.

Tell me a little bit about yourself and your life here at BVHS. What activities or clubs are you involved in? What year are you in school? What is your favorite class and/or teacher so far this year? My name is Connor Holmes and I was born here in Kansas. One interesting thing about me is that I collect sneakers. I am a Sophomore this year at BVHS and I am involved with sports. My favorite class so far this year is math class and this one. I like math class because I have lots of friends in there so it is very fun even though math itself isn't. I like this class because it is a nice change of pace from the rest of my classes. I am looking forward to hopefully having a successful school year.

What do you know about Web Design right now? What did you know about Web Design before you walked in to this class? Tell me as much as you can about how web pages work. Try to use an example if possible.

As of right now, I know that Web Design is about designing webpages on the internet. We will learn how to set up and write the necessary code for a webpage. Before I walked in to class I knew that we would most likely be learning how to set up and make webpages. I already had a good understanding of how the web and webpages worked. Webpages are created using HTML code which is a language that is read by the specific browser that is being used at the time. HTML allows you to do many things which includes typing out paragraphs, embedding photos or videos, creating lists, and more. So far we have experimented with embedding links and photos into an HTML document.
