For Thanksgiving we are going to my grandma's house. Every year, we have Thanksgiving with the same people but the location changes. We have a rotation of it being held at our house, my cousin's house, my Aunt and Uncles house, and my grandma's house. Another tradition that we have is we get a Christmas tree and start setting up Christmas lights and decorations. As soon as Thanksgiving is over we immediately transition to Christmas.

Go out and look up a what all goes on a resume website. What can you find? Include an example image if possible.
It is a good idea for all job seekers to have a personal resume website. A resume website should have information like interests, skills, hobbies, previous jobs, education, and more. A resume website should have things that an employer could see and would help to convince them to hire you. It should have a detailed "About Me" section where you talk, in detail, about yourself. A resume website should be very detailed.

Consider the quote below. What exactly do you think it means and how does it relate to Web Design?
When you design something, you must also consider how it works rather than just how it looks and feels. Consider a web page, it has to work before you can focus on how it looks. If the website doesn't work than it doesn't matter how it looks. A good design is effective in looks and how it works. When a design only looks good, it isn't a complete design. Steve Jobs and his company, Apple, make products that not only look good, they work extremely well. For example, The iPhone, has a sleek flawless design, but is also arguably the best smartphone on the market.

Reflect on your learning this semester so far in this class. Think about the first day you walked in to this room until right now. What have you learned about Web Design? What have you learned beyond Web Design? Explain yourself.
From the time I walked in this room, till now, I have an understanding of coding websites. When this semester began I had a small idea of HTML and CSS and now I would say that I have a decent understanding of how to use both. I have also learned more about the layouts and color schemes of websites and all of the work that goes in to creating a solid site.

Tell me about your weekend. Give me details and photos!
Over the weekend, I traveled to St. Louis, Missouri for a sneaker convention. I went with a few of my friends, with the goal of buying and selling some sneakers. we had table which we used to display all the shoes that we brought and people would walk around and ask about prices or if we wanted to trade. The event was held at Union Station. We had to leave Kansas at 7:00 in the morning in order to make the 11:30 set up time. We arrived back home at around 11:00 at night. It was very fun even though I didn't sell as much as I wanted too.

Tell me about your weekend. Share pics!
Over the weekend I spent most of my time hanging out with my friends and doing a bunch of random things. I didn't do much hard work and spent the whole weekend taking it easy. It was very enjoyable. I wish all weekends could be as enjoyable as this one was.

What kind of background do you have with Photoshop? Have you used it before? What other types of design and editing software have you used before? Explain.
I have used Photoshop before and I have a basic understanding of it. I have also used Microsoft Photodraw which is basically a watered down version of photoshop. I have a basic understanding of both editing programs and the process used for both.

Below is a letter written to the editor who wrote the article 'Enforcement of dress code creates negative effect' that your blogged about last week. Most of you wrote on your blog that you agreed with the writer. What are your thoughts after reading the letter below and seeing a different perspective. Are they the same? Are the different? Do you agree? Disagree? Explain yourself.
They are different perspectives and I agree with parts of both. They both have a different take on the issue at hand and I agree with parts of both of the opinions. I mostly agree with the opinions of the second letter, they seem to make the most sense as the first opinion, even though it had some valid points, also had a lot of invalid points.

The perfect curriculum would be more classes that prepare you for things you have to later on in life, For example, job applications, paying bills, and other things that you need to know. Math, reading, Science is important but the school curriculum needs more classes that prepare you on things you are going to need to know, because in reality, once your done with school, most people aren't ever really going to use the math skills they have acquired. Class time should also be more free time instead of lectures as I feel like students can learn more if they are exploring information for themselves instead of just being given a power point slide and told to copy.

The following article was in the September issue of The Tiger Print. Read the article (even if you already have) and respond to it below. What do you think? Do you agree? Disagree? Consider all perspectives of the article while you respond.
I agree, the editor makes a lot of sense. This is a well thought out article and I hear a lot of people having the same thoughts as this. I think that the dress code should be enforced differently like the author believes it should.

Tell me about your weekend! If you don't have anything fun to share, tell me about the city you live in. What do you love about Kansas City? Do you have a favorite place in the city? Favorite team? :) Favorite event? Explain.
My favorite place in Kansas City is Kauffman Stadium, since I am a Royals fan. The Royals are my favorite Kansas City team. I like how the Royals are doing so well in the playoffs, it is bringing the city together. I spent a lot of my weekend watching baseball games, since the MLB playoffs have been so exciting lately.

Tell me about your Homecoming weekend! If you didn't participate in the Homecoming festivities, what did you do? Share pics!
Over the weekend, I hung out with friends at Buffalo Wild Wings, went to the BV football game, watched The Royals clinch their first playoff birth since 1985, watched Mizzou upset South Carolina by 1 point and watched the NFL games on Sunday. I was particularly excited about The Royals clinching a playoff spot because they have not been in the playoffs since I have been alive. I am a huge royals fan so it is very exciting that they are in the playoffs.

How was your weekend? Did you do anything exciting? Share photos!
My weekend was okay, I watched a lot of football and I hung out with my friends. Overall it was a pretty good weekend, I didn't really accomplish much though. My favorite team, Mizzou lost which I wasn't too happy about but it's alright. The Chiefs won which was cool considering they have lost the past two weeks, so that was good. All in all it was a good weekend.

Now that you are several weeks in to this class and have coded one (super small) website, what do you think? What are your thoughts on web design? Is it what you thought it would be? Is it better? Worse? What's your favorite part? What's your least favorite part? Explain.
I think it is cool that we are learning how to code websites. Web design has been a fun class for the most part, and I am happy that I chose to take it. So far, this class has been exactly what I though it was going to be. My favorite part about his class is creating websites from scratch, my least favorite part is doing lots of Codecademy.

What is the importance of deadlines? How do high school deadlines reflect or simulate "real world" experience? Give an example of when you met or or didn't meet a deadline that was important.
Deadlines are important because it teaches you how to be responsible for yourself. Deadlines in high school reflect the deadlines that you have in the "real world". In the business field, you must have work done when it needs to be done. One time, I had a very long paper due that I had been working on for over 3 quarters of the school year. The deadline was not flexible and the paper had to be turned in on that day, no exceptions. I worked hard and got the paper turned in, in addition to getting the paper turned in, I received a good grade on it.

Reflect on this quote. Give an example of a time in your life that this might have been the case.
An example of a time in my life when this quote is relevant was when I had an ELA test but I totally forgot to prepare for it so I went in to class and took it without having been prepared. I did not get an ideal grade and that is because I failed to prepare.

What did you do this weekend? Share pictures if you have them!
This weekend I watched a lot of football, college and pro. my favorite team, Mizzou won, which was good. They are having a great season thus far. The Chiefs ended up blowing there game when they had a chance to tie it up and go to overtime. I was a little disappointed with that. Aside from watching football I also played a lot of Madden 15 which was fun. Overall it was a pretty laid back weekend.

Below is one of my favorite quotes that I found on Pinterest. Think read and think about what this says and then blog about it. What does this quote mean to you? Elaborate! Feel free to give an example of tell a story.
This quote is saying that you should never be bored since there is so many things you have never seen or done. There is always something to do no matter where you are. To me this quote means that since there is so much to do on our planet, you should never feel bored, you should never feel like there is nothing to do since there is so much you haven't done or seen in your life. Just the fact that you are alive and well is amazing.
